On Monday, November 11th, Dinand Library will host a local event for Virginia Tech’s Veterans Day Transcribathon. The transcribathon is in support of the American Soldier in World War II project,
an endeavor to transcribe and make accessible thousands of surveys distributed by the US Army Research Branch during the Second World War, which record the candid thoughts and experiences of American soldiers in the war.
Our transcribathon will be held Monday, November 11, from 1:30-3:30pm in Dinand 205. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join for all or part of the event. Please bring your own laptop in order to participate. If you have any questions, please contact Outreach Librarian Laura Wilson at firstname.lastname@example.org, or Coordinator of Research, Teaching, and Learning Jennifer Whelan at email@example.com .
