New Database Trial: Al-Ahram Digital Archive

Founded in 1875, Al-Ahram (الأهرام‎, “The Pyramids”) is Egypt’s most authoritative and influential newspaper. It was an independent publication until it was nationalized by President Nasser in 1960. It became the de facto voice of the Egyptian government and today the newspaper is managed by the Supreme Council of Press. Coverage: 1875 – 2018. In Arabic, full digital image with typescript.
