Unfortunately, we have cancelled the Virtual Dinand in the Dark event that was scheduled for October 22. Thank you to those who expressed their interest in the event! If you are in the mood for spooky tales, stay tuned to our social media channels starting at the end of this week – we will be featuring videos of Holy Cross spooky campus legends!
The scariest month of the year is upon us! Dinand Library and the English Department invite you to share your original eerie, disturbing, and unsettling tales at an online open mic, Thursday, Oct. 22, 9-10 pm. (If you wish, you may submit a video of the reading or choose someone else to read your work aloud; see instructions on the attached flyer.)
If you have any questions about this event, please email Monica Locker, firstname.lastname@example.org .
See you very soon!
Stories should be “spooky” or have to do with campus lore; All submissions should be no longer than 5-7 minutes long when read aloud; We welcome material that is scary but not inappropriate or offensive.
Get into the Halloween spirit! The Libraries and the English Department
are hosting a spooky stories-themed Open Mic Night live via Zoom on
October 22 from 9-10 pm. Participants can either read their stories (or
parts of longer dark and dreary works) live or else submit a video ahead
of time. You can also have someone else read your work for you if you would prefer.
Submissions will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. There
will be extra time at the end of the event to read more spooky stories aloud.
