Holy Cross Libraries have launched a new online catalog! We are now using FOLIO (The Future of Libraries is Open), an open-source library services platform developed collaboratively by libraries, developers, and vendors. FOLIO brings a modern approach to library systems and will allow the Libraries to leverage the latest technology and standards.
On the front end, the library has replaced its legacy “Classic Catalog” with a more modern interface with many features that are similar to CrossSearch. CrossSearch will not be changing and remains the broadest search of library materials indexing most of what the library has access to, while the new Library Catalog will serve as the place to perform searches of the library’s physical collection, and a selection of electronic resources, mainly ebooks, and streaming media.
The Libraries are excited to provide these new research tools to the Holy Cross community and hope you will have a more productive research experience.
On June 14, 1722, Worcester was established as a town in Massachusetts and was later incorporated as a city in 1848.
In honor of its Tercentennial, this exhibit – located in Dinand Library’s rotunda – explores the city’s rich history through people, places and events documented in materials held in the Rare Books Collection of the Archives & Distinctive Collections. #HCArchives #WorcesterTercentennial #Worcester300 #WorcesterMA @worcestertercentennial

The Holy Cross Libraries will be closed Monday, May 30, 2022 in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. Normal summer hours resume Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 8:30 am.
Summer building hours begin today in the Libraries. Visit our Hours page for the most up-to-date information at: https://www.holycross.edu/holy-cross-libraries/holy-cross-libraries-hours.
We are transitioning to a new library catalog and are scheduled to go live on June 23, 2022. The New Catalog will replace the old “Classic Catalog.” CrossSearch will continue to be available and will not be affected by this change.
Between now and then, we invite everyone in the Holy Cross community to beta test the new catalog and let us know what you think. Please go to the libraries website at: https://www.holycross.edu/support-and-resources/holy-cross-libraries. Click on “Try the New Library Catalog” under the CrossSearch search bar. After you are done browsing, please click on “Feedback” located under the CrossSearch bar and complete the brief survey. Thank you!

Celebrate #NationalPoetryMonth by joining us on the Dinand Patio for poetry readings, refreshments, and snacks as part of the Poetry Walk Kick-off Event! The walking route highlights original poetry by members of the Holy Cross community, following a scenic path on the College campus. The Poetry Walk will be on display through May 24th.
